To all residents:

 

On September 1st, the PBC Board of County Commissioners will vote on the land-use change for Brentwood of Wellington, the rental complex Ansca plans to build next door.

 

The developer has changed this hearing from a site plan review to a land-use change only. 

 

We're holding a Zoom on Monday, August 29th, at 6 pm to share the developer's revised plans, discuss the commissioners' responses, get your feedback, and talk through our plans for the September 1st hearing. (Zoom info below.)

 

The developer, Ansca:

Will be asking for an HR-8 land-use change

This land-use change could legally allow for a density of 19 units per acre

Has proposed 132 townhome-style apartments: 

The apartments would be 2 stories

Some apartments would have garages

The apartments would include 30 workforce housing units

The complex would have minimal setbacks from the property lines, particularly on TBL's side

The community would be gated

Is open to dense/augmented landscaping on TBL's side

Does not have site plans to share with us

Will not be presenting site plans at the Sept. 1 hearing

Will be adding a northbound turn lane, from 441 into the complex, to address the traffic issues

Palm Beach County's staff:

Is recommending the 132 units with conditions: the land density and height should be capped 

Recommends that the land-use adoption and zoning application be held on the same date
